Psalm 23:4 NKJV

4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,

I will fear no evil;

For You are with me;

Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.

Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.

Do you know why you can “fear no evil” when you walk through the “valley of the shadow of death”?

It’s not just because your good Shepherd is with you. It’s also because He will save and protect you. For “Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.”

The rod is used to throw at wolves to scare them away and give them severe injuries. The staff is there to rescue sheep when they fall.

So, that’s why you can “fear no evil” even when you “walk through the valley of the shadow of death”. Amen.
