Proverbs 19:8 NKJV

He who gets wisdom loves his own soul;

He who keeps understanding will find good.

Do you know what is the Biblical way to love yourself? Did you know, that it’s not taboo to love yourself?

Let me be clear, arrogance and selfishness are NOT loving yourself. It’s not. It’s pride, and it’s not from Jesus, and it’s not the true way of loving yourself. It’s very empty to be arrogant and selfish.

Anyway, how do you love your own soul? By getting wisdom—who is, Jesus! And the verse even goes on to say, if you keep understanding, you will find good.

Why? Biblical wisdom keeps you from harm. Personally, I’ve even seen how my Lord’s wisdom has guided me through storms and challenges in my life! Not just avoid them (which is already good) but also giving me the kind of wisdom to navigate the storm—using the lemons that the devil throws at me and turn them into lemonade not just to bless me, but to also bless my family and friends too!
