Isaiah 54:17 NKJV
17 No weapon formed against you shall prosper,
And every tongue which rises against you in judgment
You shall condemn.
This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord,
And their righteousness is from Me,”
Says the Lord.
Do you know what a difference the cross of Christ Jesus has done? Do you realise that you, believer in Christ, are living in the reality of this verse because of Jesus’ finished work at the cross?
The line “This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord” anchors this verse. Through Jesus, we are no longer servants, but sons (Rom 8:15).
And do you know what is your heritage? It’s stated in this verse! 1. No weapon formed against you shall prosper. 2. Every tongue which rises against you in judgement Jesus shall condemn. And 3. Your righteousness is from Jesus.
Isn’t that amazing?! No weapon FORMED against you shall prosper! Your critics shall be condemned. (Pray for them ah!) If you need someone to judge, judge the devil. YES! Your greatest critic, the devil himself the Lord shall condemn! And that is not all! Jesus gives YOU His righteousness. HIS righteousness as a GIFT. You don’t achieve or earn your righteousness or way into heaven. You receive it as a gift from Jesus.
So, yeah, with a God like that, why would you want to worship another god, hmm? 🤨
